"Franken" Fender Jazz fretless

Ahh, one of the closest to my heart. I put this together in the early eighties. Body is an ash seventies Fender, the neck was from a company called Double Eagle. Beautiful Brazilian fingerboard. Ranges easily from big thick pillowy bottom to " Jaco-esque" This bass has appeared on many recordings, and is my total "comfort " zone. It had  Dimarzio dual coil pickups  for a while in the beginning, but what I've settled on is the classic Emg actives. Roundwound strings, which don't eat the neck much at all in my case. I've only lightly dressed the neck 3 times in over 25 years .
